Op Arte TV is een 1½ uur durende uitzending over het microbioom, biodiversiteit, leefomgeving, preventie, leefstijl, immunologie en gezondheid. Tal van thema’s die op deze website besproken worden, komen langs. Zo ook, de boerderijkinderen en de consumptie van rauwe melk en rauwmelkse producten…. Het is een film met een pleidooi, namelijk ‘a little dirt does not hurt’.

Als entree voor de film schrijft ARTE: “In the last 50 years, the proportion of asthma and allergy sufferers in industrialised countries has risen from five to 30 per cent. This is likely due to the lack of diversity of microbes in our increasingly germ-free environment. This documentary look at how microbes affect our health and how we can plan urban space to renew our contact with the natural world.”
